REVIEW | DR ORGANIC: ROSE OTTO EYE SERUM

Tuesday, 25 August 2015

I find that I struggle with sleep, be that too much or not enough. Therefore that often takes a toll on my skin which usually results in dark, puffy eyebags. For a long time I just found a high coverage concealer would conceal the darkness but now I have decided to try and combat the bags themselves.

So today I will be reviewing Dr Organic: Rose Otto Eye Serum. I was given this sample by my step mum as I mentioned that I needed an eye serum and that I was making a conscious effort to use more natural, organic and cruelty free products. (If you have any good, cheap skincare/haircare/makeup brands then leave them below!!)

To apply this eye serum, you put a small dot on the outer eye and then rub it inwards and then you leave it to sink in overnight. I usually use a tiny amount as a small amount goes a long way. I have been using this product for a week now and I have already seen such a difference to my under eyes. The puffiness has gone down at a rapid pace considering this past week has been a bit of a nightmare sleeping wise, so I have been relying solely on this product. The darkness is fading at a steady pace too which is amazing. Rose oil or "rose otto" is essential oils which have been extracted from the rose petal and has many health benefits. It also makes the product smell like Turkish Delight which is one of the best chocolates.

The only problem that I have found so far is that when I am applying my makeup the next day, it feels quite sticky underneath my eyes so I am assuming that it is this eye serum as I have not changed any of my makeup. I am currently trying to figure out how to sort this out as I love the eye serum otherwise. Overall I do love the eye serum and will definitely be purchasing the full size when I have ran out!

Let me know in the comments below if you have any organic, cruelty free brands that you would recommend!

  3. Ah I'd never heard of this before and it's AMAZING that it's steadily managing to reduce the darkness under your eyes! My eyes definitely aren't as bad as they used to be, but I'm still so paranoid over them and I've been looking for something to use now that the weather is getting colder again - so thanks for sharing!

  5. I've never heard about an eye serum! I'm always using eye cream but the only thing it seems to work for me is drinking loads of water! I'll write this one down on my wish list for sure :).
