Skincare is something that I've always slacked on, whether it was due to a fibromyalgia flare up or just through pure laziness. I think I have now perfected a routine which is quick and simple for those days where the last thing I'm thinking of is to stand in the bathroom for ages...

When I decided that I was going to stop contributing to animal cruelty and made the switch to only use cruelty free products almost two years ago, I didn't realise how easy it would be to find products that not only I loved, but ones which didn't break the bank either!

The Body Shop // Vitamin C Facial Cleansing Polish (£11.00)
To begin with, I use this cleansing polish from The Body Shop. Simply wet your face and rub the polish into your skin in circular motions and then rinse. I find that my skin looks dull when I wake up so the vitamin C is perfect to revitalise my skin. This product cleanses and exfoliates at the same time which is ideal for my fellow spoonies (as we don't have to stand for too long!)

LUSH // Tea Tree Water (£9.50)
I like to use this product in between cleansing and moisturising, but you can use it at any time! Tea tree is renowned for it's antibacterial properties which is why this product is a life saver when it comes to me being on my period as I always end up getting pesky spots. I also find that using this controls the oils on my T-zone which means that I don't end up looking shiny throughout the day!

The Body Shop // Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser (£16.00)
This moisturiser is definitely one of the best that I have tried. With a lightweight gel like formula, it sinks into your skin and leaves your face looking fresh and radiant! I have had this pot for a while now, as a little goes a long way, and I noticed results from day one of use.

The Body Shop // Japanese Matcha Tea Face Mask (£16.00)
I attended a blogger event at my local store and had the chance to test out this brand new mask, I ended up loving it as I noticed a difference after one use so took the plunge and bought it (also thanks to Zoella's 20% off code and blogger discount!) I have used this twice a week since then and I'm so glad that I purchased it. I use a brush to apply it to my face and you don't need to use much to get a good coverage which means that this pot will last you quite a while! This product doesn't have any sillicones, mineral oil or parafens in which means that it is completely natural and is also 100% vegan which is amazing!! I will do a full review on this product in due time.

(Also side note: The Body Shop are now owned by Natura, so if you had any qualms about purchasing from TBS when they were owned by L'Oreal now you can! Read more about it here.)

Superdrug // Naturally Radiant Hot Cloth Cleanser (£5.99)
One thing that I love about Superdrug is that not only that it has a good reward scheme, but they have an amazing range of cruelty free and vegan products available for a very low cost. This hot cloth cleanser is enriched with Kiwi fruit and Mulerry extracts to help even out skin tone while boosting radiance. I have combination skin and find that this is perfect to help control oil and keep those nuisance dry patches at bay.

Dr Organic // Rose Otto Eye Serum (£10.79)
I have already written a review for this product (which has been linked) so I won't go into too much detail about this but as someone who struggles with chronic fatigue, this product is a must. As mentioned in the full review, this has definitely helped with my dark circles. Just apply a small amount under your eyes and rub it in, it sits on top of the skin but since it is an overnight repair serum, it sinks in overnight and leaves your under eyes feeling soft and hydrated.

I hope that you have enjoyed reading about my skincare routine. Have you tried any of these products? Let me know what you think in the comments below!

  1. I loving trying out different kind of skin routines. Our skins get bored of one. We all need to tried out new ones. This is next in list. Thank you for sharing.
